Florida woman fined for dyeing dog feet pink

Jacksonville, FL - A dog owner in wow gold Florida has received a ridiculous fine from animal control. Christine Hill received a $255 fine for dyeing her poodle's feet pink for Halloween.

Hill bought the dye online -- a dye specifically made for pets. A dye that is applied like a shampoo. A dye that simply washes out over time.

Apparently, there is a law on the books in both the wow items city and the state that prohibits owners from dyeing their pet's fur. How many people would know that this law even exists? Could the animal control officer perhaps have offered up a warning?

"Oh, perhaps you didn't know that there is a silly law on our wow items books that prohibits dog owners from dyeing their pet's feet pink, so next year, buy a ridiculous costume from the pet store and make your dog wear that instead. I'm letting you off with a warning this time."

While I personally may not think dyeing my dog is necessary, I can't imagine that it is much more harmful than dressing her in a goofy pumpkin costume. But who knows, someone in Florida had some extra time on their hands when they put this law on the books, so maybe pumpkin costumes are next?

When it comes to animal cruelty, there are a multitude of real crimes that come to mind . starvation, no shelter, physical abuse, blatant neglect. Non-toxic pet fur dye is not the first atrocity that pops into my mind.

Heads up, citizens of Florida -- no dye for your pets. You could be the next recipient of the $255 fine.

What is wrong with Florida? That is the most sucky state I have been reading about, besides the mega-puppyp-mill state of Missouri (misery, really). Florida is a really stupid state all around. If this is an obscure law that hardly anyone knows about then there wow items should have been a warning issued. How utterly stupid. They have not seen what China does to their dogs, have they? This is someone's idea of control. I won't even go visitg Florida, they will probably fine me for driving through the state with my Pit Bull in my car. I hope that person fights against this stupidity. Best of luck to them. Being an ACO is a high profile job. You are working one on one with the community and it's a whole lot easier job if the public knows you are a 'good guy'. Doing something like that ACO did is really stupid. Besides, many years ago I had a toy white poodle and dyed her green for St. Patricks Day and took her for a walk on the boardwalk. She loved being green.

OK, so, why is it illegal to dye your pet, but not pierce your baby's ears? Or how about this, ok, I've been a professional groomer for 8 years. I have called the ASPCA of Cincinnati TWICE on people for neglecting wow gold their dogs. Both dogs, separate owners and occasions, were one solid mat, and by the time we got to their rear ends and got that shaved, there were open sores, crusted blood, and, yes, MAGGOTS coming out of the wounds. You know what they told us? "Well, we can't do anything legally, because since they brought the dog in to you to groom it, that's considered 'making an effort' to take care of the dog." The dogs hadn't been groomed in 3, and 5 years. THREE and FIVE YEARS. Clearly NOT 'making an effort'. But, the State of Florida wants to raise a fit because this lady dyed her dog's feet pink? At least the dog was GROOMED at the same time!

I can imagine the officer who did this has now lost all respect of ALL pet groomers in the entire state, if not buy wow gear the country. I dye dogs in my salon now. I have one coming in to get Candy Canes on his legs for Christmas. He LOVES the attention, and not to mention the massage he gets during the dye-rinse out. The last one I did looked like a Panda bear. You want to talk about Struttin' Her Stuff. she knew she looked cool, and boy did she milk it!

These dogs are in no way shape or form harmed wow gold by the use of pet safe dyes. Most of these people who want to pay the money to have their dog dyed, also pay to have them regularly taken care of. properly.

This is retarded, and if I were this lady, I would be lawyering up and getting some stuff changed.

Whoa folks! Before you get all up in arms and form a lynch mob on this officer, let's first be thankful that the ACO even CARED enough to NOTICE and WORRY that the dog's fur had been dyed. Granted, once he found out it was pet-safe, giving her a ticket was probably unjustified, but that officer is doing their job. It's a law - and i'm willing to bet the law was enacted to combat the idiots who don't use pet-safe products.
